We train at different venues according to the time of year.

Club sessions are friendly and offer the opportunity to meet with other members of the club. See below for more details.

There is no extra charge for club sessions and is included in the annual membership fee.


Monday

Social run where we all run together regardless of pace. All members are welcome to join for an easy run of 6-8 miles approx. The only rule is that we run at the pace of the slowest runner. This run is superb opportunity to have a chat and catch up!

Tuesday

Structured training session which varies in venue and design according to the time of year and race focus. Tuesday sessions tend to be road based in parks and low traffic areas (industrial estates). The session generally is longer intensity work to suit runners from 5k upto marathon.

Thursday

Speed based session which is on grass. In the winter we have exclusive use of Acklam Rugby Club fields which provides changing facilities too. In the Summer we move to 'Foxes Wood' (Mandale Meadow) to use the grass and woods areas.

Sunday 

Session held if there are no club races. In the winter the session is Cross Country including hills. In the Summer it is a grass speed session suitable for track runners up to marathon. This session is also at 'Foxes Wood'.

Track session

We also hold a session once a month at the Sports Village Track. This takes place on the list Thursday of every month.  Note admission is payable when using the track.
